Kate Taffel is the founder and lead producer of Make A Scene Events, an event production company that specializes in an immersive event experience from strategy to design. With nearly two decades producing non-profit galas, donor events, executive events, book launches, weddings and mid-large scale conferences, Kate is known and valued for creating the ideal environment for people to come together, collaborate and achieve results that support their mission.
Raised in Sonoma County and a 15 year resident of San Francisco, Kate incorporates her creative studies in dance, writing and her degree in cinematography, into each event. With a keen awareness that this was all possible thanks to the many scholarships and generosity of others, Kate focuses heavily on creating opportunities for nonprofits to bring awareness to their causes.
She works closely with organizations and individual clients where she displays her innate leadership and creative skills and oversees all the important details required to make your event—big or small—successful, flawless and an extension of your mission.
Kate’s free time has her on the yoga mat (plus, she’s a certified instructor), sitting on multiple Bay Area boards, spending time with friends and family, and taking full advantage of the nature surrounding the Bay Area.
